ELECTROPHORESIS - A PHYSICAL FORCE OF NATURE FOR HARD WATER CONTROL
The electrokinetic phenomenon of electrophoresis was observed for the first time in 1807 by Russian professors Peter Ivanovich Strakhov and Ferdinand Frederic Reuss at Moscow State University, who noticed that the application of a constant electric field caused clay perticles dispersed in water to migrate. It is ultimately caused by the presence of a charged interface between the particle surface and the surrounding fluid. It is the basis for analytical techniques used in chemistry for separating molecules by size, charge, or binding affinity.
Electrophoresis is commonly used in laboratories to separate macromolecules based on size. The technique applies a negative charge so proteins move towards a positive charge. Besides water treatment, Electrophoresis is used extensively in DNA, RNA and protein analysis.
Opposed Alternating Fields
with Wobbling Distribution
HOW DOES IT WORK FOR WATER TREATMENT?
Vulcan Electronic Impulse Technology
A special electronic impulse frequency (between 3-32 kHz) with wobbling distribution, changes the physical shape of mineral particles in hard water, causing these particles to lose their ability to stick to surfaces. Vulcan Physical Water Treatment stops the formation of scale, cleans and sanitizes your pipes, stops rust and prevent metal perforations. The technology works exclusively on capacitive electric impulses, and does not use filters, salts, chemicals or magnets. Vulcan units do not require maintenance and are engineered to outlast the life of its owner, with a 30+ years lifespan and a 25 year warranty. Vulcan also saves water by not needing backflushing.
Special Isolated Copper Impulse Bands
To guarantee the best possible scale/ rust prevention; CWT GmbH has developed a special isolated copper impulse band material with a high degree of alloy purity that is designed to connect firmly to your water pipe. These impulse bands are extremely thin and flexible to achieve minimal isolation and space loss between coils by maximizing a direct contact ratio to 97.5%. The copper impulse bands provide a larger contact area when compared to wire cables, and are a crucial factor in achieving fast and efficient descaling performance.
FULL ACRYLIC CAST MAKES IT VIRTUALLY INDESTRUCTIBLE FOR A 30 PLUS YEARS USEFUL LIFE
The full acrylic cast ensures the circuit board is protected from the elements. All parts are fully encapsulated in acrylic. Therefore parts can not move or become loose. The most common causes of malfunctioning in electronic devices are moisture, loose components due to vibrations, and the 'blow' effect caused when components heat up too much. The Vulcan acrylic cast protects the device from dust, dirt, heat and coldness, as acrylic is a perfect isolating material. It provides unmatched durability when installed in extremely hot areas with outdoor temperatures up to 122ºF or down to negative -13ºF. The thick acrylic cast keeps the circuit board in a vacuum while dissipating excessive heat. This protection ensures a hi service life of 30 plus years.
SUSTAINABLE HARD WATER EFFICIENCY
Vulcan Eco-friendly Technology does not pollute water with sodium, produces no solid waste and only consumes 10 dollars a year in low voltage single phase electricity.
Vulcan optimizes water loop efficiency, facilitates maintenance and provides several operational advantages:
Improves heat transfer efficiency of fouled water loops in 9-12% by keeping equipment clean and protected from rust
Reduces manual cleaning effort and expenses 50% to 65% simplifying maintenance routine.
Improves facility safety by lowering the use of water treatment chemicals 30% and over.
Vulcan increases heat transfer efficiency, lowers your environmental impact, cuts unnesessary expenses, saves water, and improves the safety and hygiene in your facility.
